INCOTERMS are international rules in order to clarify the sales terms established by the International Chamber of Commerce. The word INCOTERM comes from the English expression “international Commercial Terms”.
The 2010 INCOTERMS edition from the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce), entered into force in January 2011 and abrogated the old ones from 2000.
The new INCOTERMS were reduced from thirteen to eleven, eliminating those which were barely or not used (DDU, DAF, DES, and DEQ) and replacing them for some others (DAP, DAT).
INCORTERMS updating takes place every ten years, so in consequence, the new INCOTERMS edition is scheduled for January 1st, 2021.
Currently, no details are know from that new edition.
